This is a post about the Dial-Up Tour!

I’ll probably do a vlog about it too, but I’m too lazy right now.

Ok, so Lindsay and I got to the House Of Blues at around 1:45ish, and we were the only ones there, so by the time the line formed, we were at the front. And we were only there for about five minutes when Kyle Sibert walked past us (I think he was with Olan, but at that point I didn’t know who he was, so I didn’t recognize him), and Lindsay started to call his name, but I was like “Nooooo he’s talking to someone, don’t interrupt him”, but afterward I regretted that, because I want to meet Kyle so bad.

At about 3, we met this girl who was going in early to interview them for a website she works at called musicremedy, and she was really nice and we shared our Doritos with her. She went in at about 3:45.

At like 4, we met Amie, who we hung out with in line for the remainder of the time we were outside, and she stood next to us at the show. We were outside for about 4 and a half hours, because they didn’t let us in until 6:15. Once we got in, we raced to the front, and were directly in front of the stage and it was spectacular, because I had never been up front at a concert before, and I’m glad it was this one.

The first person to come out was Olan, who I had never heard of, but he was really funny, and I really enjoyed him. At the beginning, he was asking for a trumpet noise and Mitchell came out and was like “dude we have no trumpets” and I screamed like a little girl when he came out.

Second was Meekakitty and Nanalew (who’s shirt I am wearing currently), and they were so funny. They opened with “Space Crustaceans”, and they also sang a song about Lizard love and a song called “Dirty Hipster No Nose”, and for a part of it, they were looking right at Lindsay and singing to her because they said she looked artsy and it was great.

Next was livelavalive. They were so funny and wonderful, and at a few points I made eye contact with Mitchell, which just proves that we’re deeply in love, of course. The Jerry and Stache video was brilliant, and there was a bit where they did a skit with toilet paper, and Mitchell threw some of it out into the audience, and Lindsay caught it, and it was great. Mitchell also made a Keek, and you can see my head for like .4 seconds, and it was great (this is it). And he ran across the stage and touched everyone’s hand, and I screamed. They were just so funny and wonderful and I love them so much.

Next was Jason Munday and Alex Carpenter, and as soon as Jason walked out, Lindsay was like “OH MY GOSH WHO IS HE, HE IS EXTREMELY ATTRACTIVE.” and she spent the rest of their performance fangirling over him. They were so good, and we were dancing the whole time, and they sang a song about Doctor Who and it was great.

After the show, we went to the merch table, where I got a shirt that says “Nanakitty Activate!” which I love, and Lindsay got a “Dirty Hipster No Nose” shirt and Jason and Alex’s EP. As soon as we left the table, we saw Jason right next to it, and we immediately went up to talk to him, and I asked if I could give him a hug and he said yes. He is a very good hugger, it was very nice. Lindsay gave him these holigraphic guitar pics she had, which he appreciated, and then he hugged her, and got a picture, which can be seen here:

and when we walked away, she was pretty much declaring her love for him. We were going to go and meet Alex, who was there too, but he was surrounded by people, so we didn’t get a chance. Tessa and Shawna came out too, and were also immediately surrounded by people, so we didn’t get to go up to them.

After that, we saw Mitchell from across the room, and we couldn’t leave without meeting him. When we got up to him, he was talking to everyone and was so nice and funny, and I was freaking out, because he’s my idol, and I had never imagined that I would ever get to meet him. (I also learned from watching him sign things that he is left handed, which is cool.) We were all in like a circle around him, and he didn’t know who to talk to next, so he closed his eyes and pointed to Lindsay (I was kind of jealous that he didn’t point to me, but he pointed to Lindsay and she’s my friend so it was still great. I think I would’ve died if he pointed to me anyways.) And he took a picture with her, as seen here:

and here:

(He also signed her pants. Mitchell is seriously the most precious man ever, I can’t even with him)

And then Lindsay was like “Can she take a picture with you too?” and pointed to me, and he turned to me with a huge goofy grin on his face and was like “Sure!” and then he put his arm around me and I died inside and I got a picture as seen here:

(I look like a derp and it’s blurry but I don’t care because I MET MITCHELL DAVIS OK)

And then he gave me a hug and I was screaming inside my head and then he tried to boop our noses but he missed and then he told us to drive safe and just asdfghjkl he is the most perfect man ever ok.

Nothing in my life will ever live up to that as long as I live.

And that was my Dial-Up adventure! It was the best show I’ve ever gone to, and I hope they tour again, because it was so great.
